Wellness Retreat - Rancho Santana

Hosting our very first wellness retreat at Rancho Santana in Nicaragua was incredibly special. What started as an idea turned into a week filled with movement, meaningful connection, and unforgettable moments along the Emerald Coast. Surrounded by wild beaches, lush landscapes, and an incredible group of people, we came together to slow down, reset, and experience wellness in a way that felt both intentional and joyful.



Wednesday: Arrival at Rancho Santana

Guests arrived at Rancho Santana and checked into our home for the week, Villa Paraíso — an idyllic setting that immediately invited everyone to slow down and settle in. After getting comfortable, the group gathered to meet the instructors and one another, setting the foundation for connection and intention throughout the retreat.


We kicked off the week with a welcome dinner at La Finca y El Mar, where fresh, locally sourced cuisine and relaxed conversation marked the official start of our wellness journey in Nicaragua.


Thursday: Movement, Nature & Balance

Our first full day began with morning yoga, easing everyone into the retreat rhythm. Breakfast at El Café followed, offering nourishing bites and time to connect.


Later, we headed out for a morning hike, taking in sweeping views of Rancho Santana’s stunning landscape. The afternoon was intentionally open for rest and relaxation before regrouping for Pilates, focusing on strength and mindful movement.


We closed the day with dinner at La Boquita, enjoying ocean views, fresh flavors, and an easy, barefoot-in-the-sand kind of evening.


Friday: Adventure, Movement & Intentional Moments

Friday started with treehouse Pilates, a unique experience surrounded by nature. After breakfast at El Café, the group set off for a sandboarding and beach tour, adding a sense of adventure and play to the day while exploring Nicaragua’s stunning coastline.


The afternoon allowed for free time to relax, hike the property, or participate in the Pack for a Purpose tour, weaving meaningful impact into the retreat experience. We later gathered for afternoon yoga, slowing things down and bringing the focus back inward.


The day concluded with dinner at La Finca del Mar, where thoughtful cuisine and shared conversation wrapped up a perfectly balanced day of movement, exploration, and connection.


Saturday: Connection, Nature & Celebration

Saturday began with Pilates, followed by breakfast at El Café to fuel the day ahead. We then headed out for a guided monkey tour, offering an unforgettable opportunity to experience Nicaragua’s wildlife up close.


The afternoon was left open for free time — whether relaxing, hiking the property, or soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Later, we gathered for poolside yoga, a gentle practice to reflect and unwind.


We closed the retreat with a farewell dinner at La Boquita, celebrating an incredible week of movement, connection, and shared memories against the backdrop of the Pacific.


As the week came to a close, I couldn’t have been more grateful for this incredible group and the experience we created together. Our first wellness retreat at Rancho Santana was just the beginning, and it affirmed how powerful it is to slow down and connect in a meaningful way.
